The ultimate Argentine Experience - a POLO DAY with the best of the best, Polo Estancia Puesto Viejo.
From BA to Cañuelas - a magical day at Puesto Viejo Estancia Polo Club -
Itinerary :
At 10am, Polo Day guests will be collected from the Buenos Aires city centre and travel to the province by private car. (You can also drive yourself, if you fancy!)
Who you meet at Puesto Viejo : Upon arriving at Puesto Viejo you will be met by Xpat Life’s good friend and all round super guy, resident polo professional & bi-lingual teacher, Gaston!
Firstly enjoy a traditional Argentine mate drink whilst Gaston gives you an overview of the sport before taking you on a tour of the stables and the estancia.
After an initial instruction at ground level, Xpat Life members will mount the horses and try polo first hand - here is where the fun starts, trust us!
After a busy morning of high adrenaline Puesto Viejo have just what you need - A delicious lunch of home made Argentine cuisine! This will be served under the trees, surrounded by nature and stunning views.
After lunch Xpat Life guests will have the option to explore the estancia by foot or by bike or perhaps just relax by the infinity pool.
Coffee, tea and an afternoon snack will be served.
The second act :
You will then have a second polo lesson or even a “mini match” with Gaston, this will help to develop the skills you learned in the morning.
Cool detail : During the polo season (September-May) you will have the chance to watch polo club members and professionals playing a 4-chukka match with Gaston on hand to explain what is going on during the game and answer any of your questions.
Fun Factor : Xpat Life members will also have the option to get more involved in the game, throwing in the ball and ringing the chukka bell – ideal photo opportunities!
The End : Guests will then be taken back to the city (return 8pm) by private car to share their new found polo knowledge, skills and stories with friends!

- Previous Experience: No previous riding experience is required.
- As you may know: The normal price for this Polo day is $150 USD – But for you, our Xpat Life members and friends it is just $75 USD and also the same price if you would like to invite a friend - with friends everything is more fun...only with Xpat Life.
- Days for you to chose: Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday.
- Dress code: You should wear comfortable clothing (ideally trousers) and sensible footwear (boots/trainers)
- The Equipment: All polo equipment will be supplied!
- Additional: Guests wishing to use the pool, should bring towels.
- The Language: Lessons can be taught in Spanish or English.
- Food & Drink: Soft drinks are complimentary throughout the day. Lunch is a traditional Argentine cuisine; please inform staff of any dietary requirements prior to arrival. Wine will be served during lunch!
